Making your own banana ice cream with carob can be a fun and healthy way to cool down on hot days. All you need is some basic ingredients and a little know-how.

  • 4 whole ripe bananas

  • 2 tbsp carob powder


  • Cut the bananas into rounds and freeze them.
  • Place the softened bananas and carob in a professional blender and blend until creamy.


  • If you want different flavours, replace the carob with frozen strawberries, raspberries, blueberries or any other fruit you like. It is the bananas that give the sweetness and structure, and the additives provide the flavour.
  • Add some dates for extra sweetness.
