Ingredients
35 oz sour turnip
15 oz potatoes
7 oz red kidney beans
5 oz smoked tofu
2 cloves garlic
1 medium onion
2 whole bay leaves
1/3 tsp salt (to taste)
Directions
- Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes and boil in water.
- Soak the beans overnight and boil them as well. Alternatively, you can use beans already prepared in a jar.
- Chop the onion and garlic and fry lightly in the water. Add the diced tofu to the onions and fry until golden yellow.
- Add the sour turnip and bay leaves to the pot, stir everything together and cover with water. The water should be enough to cover the turnips.
- Cook the turnips for about 20 minutes, then add the potatoes, beans and salt and pepper to taste.
