Ingredients

  • 35 oz sour turnip

  • 15 oz potatoes

  • 7 oz red kidney beans

  • 5 oz smoked tofu

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 1 medium onion

  • 2 whole bay leaves

  • 1/3 tsp salt (to taste)

Directions

  • Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes and boil in water.
  • Soak the beans overnight and boil them as well. Alternatively, you can use beans already prepared in a jar.
  • Chop the onion and garlic and fry lightly in the water. Add the diced tofu to the onions and fry until golden yellow.
  • Add the sour turnip and bay leaves to the pot, stir everything together and cover with water. The water should be enough to cover the turnips.
  • Cook the turnips for about 20 minutes, then add the potatoes, beans and salt and pepper to taste.
